Trevor Williams was called up by the Pirates on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, the right-handed pitcher got his first major league win. Williams threw three innings in relief. He allowed one unearned run and had three strikeouts. Tony Watson closed out the game. The 4-3 victory over the Cardinals halted the Pirates’ eight-game losing streak.
Afterwards, Williams shared an emotional moment with his family, particularly with his father. They hugged, and Williams gave his dad the game ball.

All the feels.
Williams told reporters in the locker room, “There’s no one else I would rather share that moment with than my dad. He’s been with me since the very beginning, he’s taken me to Padres games when we were very young.”
