Rory McIlroy shot a 66 in Sunday’s third round of the Deutsche Bank Championship. He saved his best shot for the final hole.
McIlroy’s tee shot on the par-5 18th put him some 210 yards away from the hole. McIlroy went right after the pin on his second shot, coming within inches — literally — of walking off with an albatross.
This shot was something else.

Rory McIlroy ... 210 yards ... for albatross ...
Incredible.
McIlroy thought he had it too. He bent over in disbelief with his hands on his head as the ball lipped out. He’d have to settle — yes, settle — for eagle. Tough life, indeed.
He’ll head into the final round in contention at 9-under.
