Bears backup QB Connor Shaw’s season is over after he suffered a gruesome leg injury in Saturday’s tilt with the Chiefs.
According to Shaw, the injury could have been avoided. He called the hit by Kansas City lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches “cheap BS” in a since-deleted tweet.
Per the Sporting News, the tweet read:
“Injuries are a part of the game & I understand that. This should’ve been avoided. No need for that type of cheap BS!”
Here’s a video of the hit that ended Shaw’s season. And don’t worry, you can’t see the injury from this angle.
While the hit seemed to be a beat or two late, it’s hard to blame a player trying to make the team for going a little too hard.
