Indians pitcher makes mesmerizing catch after kicking a line drive

Indians pitcher Zach McAllister turned a line drive into a game of hacky sack, and the end result was extraordinary.
McAllister was facing Kurt Suzuki in the sixth inning against the Twins, and Suzuki lined a 1-1 fastball right back at the mound. McAllister turned to protect himself, but in the process, he flailed his leg in a manner that deflected the ball.
He kicked the ball up and while spinning, recovering in time to catch it. There were so many moving parts to make for this insane catch that it didn’t even seem possible. But it happened. Here’s proof.

We probably won’t see a pitcher make a better catch all season.
