Rougned Odor has found a new way to distract his opponent: Just give them a wedgie.
During Tuesday’s game against the Mariners, Odor was taking a lead off first when, for whatever reason, he decided to tug on Dae-Ho Lee’s belt.
He didn’t complete a wedgie in the technical sense, but he certainly came close. It took Lee by surprise because who does that?
The explanation is quite simple.
Odor is in a very powerful position among his big-league peers. Everyone has seen his fight with Jose Bautista, and nobody wants to get punched in the face. You either have to laugh at Odor’s antics or run away. Just don’t make him angry.
Lee chose to laugh, but I’m sure he wanted Odor to leave him alone. He has a baseball game to play, after all! There’s no time for wedgies in baseball.
