There might not be a more special moment that happens this entire college football season than Pitt starting running back James Conner scoring this touchdown.
Conner, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma about nine months ago, took the field Saturday for the Panthers in his first game back after being declared cancer free. And early in the second quarter against Villanova, he scored a touchdown to put his team up 7-0.
Conner has had a miraculous and difficult journey back to football. And if there were any questions whether he’d be ready to play, this should answer them easily.
